I'm a software engineer and problem solver. I build products that have to work in the real world. I usually work on the backend, but I move across a product when the problem calls for it.
I start with the problem, learn the domain, then work through architecture, implementation, tests, and deployment. The stack changes. I still care about the same things: clear decisions, useful software, and systems that behave when real people use them.
I want to know how things work, especially when the answer is buried under a lot of assumptions. I read source code across ecosystems and look outside software for ideas I can bring back to my own work.
Versatility matters to me. I have a favorite stack, but I don’t mistake familiarity for a rule. I choose the tools and shape of a solution based on the problem. I’m mostly a backend engineer, though I can move across a product when that is what shipping a good solution requires.
I care about the gap between software that runs in a demo and software people can live with. I think about architecture, tests, trade-offs, and what happens after launch. I’m still learning when to stop polishing and ship, and I’m trying to share my work more openly instead of waiting for perfect words.
Outside software, I listen to classical music and occasionally play the piano and trumpet.

Maintain ChromaDB PHP, a PHP client for the Chroma vector database that supports embedding storage, semantic search, and vector retrieval.
